Ann-Marie Carey has a master’s degree in Special Education and School Counseling. Her background includes experience as a pre-school and special education teacher, as well as an elementary school counselor. She served as the Anti-Bullying Specialist, chairperson for the Intervention and Resource Services Committee, liaison with the PTA, coordinator of standardized testing, chairperson for the 504 committee, and liaison with the Child Study Team. As an elementary school counselor, Ann-Marie developed and implemented school-wide programs to enhance and improve the culture and climate of her school community. Some of Ann-Marie’s most noteworthy accolades include: District Teacher of the Year, Governor’s Teacher of the Year, and County and State School Counselor of the Year. Lastly, Ann-Marie currently serves as the New Jersey School Counselors’ Association Elementary Vice-President.
