Supporting, connecting, and empowering schools
Daniel (“Danny”) Swersky (He/Him) is a lifelong learner and educator who believes deeply in our unlimited potential. When we base our educational system on the belief in the unlimited potential of students (and adults) to grow and develop in ways that can transform themselves and the world around them, we establish equitable and excellent structures for growth and achievement. The commitment to align actions with these beliefs started in 2005 as a 6th grade teacher in the Bronx, NYC. As a Teach For America corps member, Danny loved the growth he saw in both in his students and in himself. Danny found his next home at KIPP:STAR as the 5th grade math teacher where he continued to grow as an educator. After a yearlong Fisher Fellowship, Danny was the founding principal of KIPP Washington Heights Middle School, where he led a school that was recognized by NY State for high academic achievement and growth in all demographic subgroups. As the founder of Better Tomorrow Consulting, Danny now works with organizations to create communities of change and support their growth and development.
Danny is a graduate of Cornell University, Pace University and National-Louis University. When Danny isn’t working, you’ll find him with his two daughters, catching up on politics or enjoying a hockey game.
