SSN Meeting “Attitude of Gratitude: How to Harness Life’s Simple Pleasure to Decrease Stress and Increase Resilience”

What do we know about the effects of gratitude on our physical, emotional, and social health? Gratitude has been scientifically proven to decrease stress and increase resilience and happiness! How can you and your students get the most benefits from being more deeply in touch with feelings of thankfulness? Explore the connections between mindfulness, gratitude and well-being. Learn a variety of simple yet powerful practices that you and your students can use to develop an attitude of gratitude that will bring positive results to the whole school community.

Christa M. Tinari, M.A., is a nationally recognized speaker, trainer, and peacebuilder. She provides educational consulting on bullying prevention, social-emotional learning, and school climate improvement, to schools and organizations across the country. Christa is creator of The Feel & Deal Activity Deck, an empathy-building tool for children used on six continents. She frequently presents at conferences such as AMLE, ASCD, and the International Bullying Prevention Association. Christa passionately believes in the power of education to inspire hearts and expand minds. She lives in Pennsylvania.
